Elzbieta Towarnicka

Elżbieta Towarnicka is a celebrated Polish operatic soprano born on July 29, 1950, in Wrocław. She gained international recognition, particularly for her work with the Kraków Opera, where she performed leading roles in operas such as Puccini's *La Bohème* and *Tosca*, Verdi's *La Traviata* and *Rigoletto*, and others. Beyond opera, she is widely known for her collaborations with film composer Zbigniew Preisner, contributing to soundtracks like *The Double Life of Veronique*, the *Three Colours* trilogy, and *Avalon*. Her repertoire also includes extensive work with Polish composer Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz, showcasing a diverse range of musical talents.
