Skizoo was a notable Spanish hard rock band that emerged in the early 2000s, recognized for their potent blend of heavy guitar riffs and melodic sensibilities. The band was formed by renowned members of the Spanish rock scene, with Jorge Escobedo and Antonio Bernardini (guitarists from Sôber) and Dani Pérez (the drummer from Kannon) at the core. They were later joined by vocalist Morti, known for his work with bands like El Fantástico Hombre Bala and Bushido, and bassist Edu Fernández from XXL.
Throughout their career, Skizoo skillfully combined elements of metal with alternative rock, earning them a strong following in the Spanish-speaking rock world. Their self-titled debut album "Skizoo" was released in 2005, setting a solid foundation for the band’s identity and musical direction. They followed up with "Incerteza" in 2007, an album that saw them expand their sound and dig deeper into their creative depths. With their third record, aptly titled "3", the band continued to refine their approach, further solidifying their status in the Spanish rock genre. "La Cara Oculta", one of their most recent releases, further showcases Skizoo's dynamic and emotionally charged style, cementing their legacy as one of the standout Spanish rock outfits of their era before they ultimately disbanded in 2010.
