Mike Patton

Mike Patton, born January 27, 1968, is an American vocalist, songwriter, actor, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the lead singer of the alternative metal band Faith No More, which he joined in 1988. His vocal prowess is as diverse as his musical endeavors, with the ability to switch from operatic crooning to death metal growling with seamless agility. Patton's eclectic forays into various musical genres extend well beyond the realm of rock; he has forged a unique path with his avant-garde approach to music.

Apart from his significant role with Faith No More, Patton has been involved in numerous side projects, including Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, and Tomahawk. As a solo artist and collaborator, he has delved deep into experimental music, as evidenced by his more recent releases such as the haunting "1922 Original Score" for the Stephen King Netflix adaptation, and "Corpse Flower," a collaboration with renowned French composer Jean-Claude Vannier. Furthermore, Patton has lent his distinctive vocal talent to the entertainment industry, contributing to soundtracks like "The Place Beyond the Pines" and recording the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Theme." His work with composer Daniele Luppi, "Variations of Julia," further showcases his versatility across different media and genres. Mike Patton remains an influential figure in the music scene, continually pushing the boundaries of his artistic expression.
