Egon

Eothen Alapatt, better known as Egon, is a key figure in the world of music reissues and hip-hop production. He founded Now-Again Records in 2002, focusing on reissuing funk, soul, and psychedelic music from around the world. Egon was also the general manager of Stones Throw Records from 2000 to 2011, where he played a crucial role in releasing landmark albums like Madvillain's "Madvillainy" and J Dilla's "Donuts".

In addition to his label work, Egon is known for his collaborations with artists like Madlib and his role as the creative director of the J. Dilla Estate. He's also ventured into publishing and wine, launching music and wine collaborations that blend his passions. As a DJ and curator, Egon continues to share his vast musical knowledge through mixes and compilations, often highlighting obscure and influential tracks from various genres and eras.
