Guster

Guster is an American alternative rock band formed in 1991 at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. The group, originally known as Gus, was started by Adam Gardner (guitar, vocals), Ryan Miller (guitar, vocals), and Brian Rosenworcel (percussion). The band's sound is identified by their unique blend of acoustic guitars, percussive rhythms, and harmonic vocals, which has evolved over the years to incorporate elements of electronic music and orchestral arrangements.

After changing their name to Guster, they broke through with their 1999 album 'Lost and Gone Forever,' produced by Steve Lillywhite, which contains the single "Fa Fa" that gained them significant airplay. The band has since been recognized for their extensive touring, engaging live performances, and a dedicated fan base. Their commitment to innovation and diversity in their music is evident in their discography, which ranges from the light-hearted whimsy of "I'm Overexcited" to the introspective acoustic versions of "Look Alive" and "Terrified." Notably, "OMAGAH! Guster With The Omaha Symphony" showcases their willingness to experiment by reimagining their music with symphonic accompaniment, further cementing their status as a versatile and enduring presence in the alt-rock music scene.
