Wolfgang Puschnig is an Austrian jazz saxophonist, composer, and bandleader known for his innovative and eclectic approach to music. Born in Klagenfurt, Austria, in 1956, Puschnig began playing the saxophone at a young age and quickly developed a passion for jazz. He studied at the Vienna Conservatory and later moved to New York City, where he immersed himself in the vibrant jazz scene.

Throughout his career, Puschnig has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including Joe Zawinul, John Scofield, and Gil Evans.
