Akjela is a musical project that combines electronic music with dialect, specifically Upper Austrian dialect. The group's origins began when Anji, one of the members, returned to Austria after living in Germany for several years. This return sparked a creative process that led to the formation of Akjela, with the help of producer Niko Stössl (SlikNik). The name "Akjela" is inspired by "Akela," the leader of the wolf pack in "The Jungle Book," with a personal touch added by incorporating the letter "J." Their music reflects everyday life stories, blending dialect with electronic beats, making it unique and ready for club settings. Some of their notable releases include "Lauf" and "Bleib," showcasing their innovative approach to music.
Akjela's recent releases, such as "live@the mushroom studio," "Wand," and "Bleib," continue to explore this blend of dialect and electronic music, offering a distinctive sound that resonates with their audience. The group's focus on storytelling through dialect adds a rich cultural layer to their music, making them stand out in the electronic music scene.
