From a young age, he was immersed in music, particularly caipira music, which he grew up listening to in his hometown. Robertinho's early music career began when he joined the trio Palmeirinha, Lenço Verde e Zezinho at the age of 11. He later moved to São Paulo with his family and participated in various music talent shows. He became well-known for leading his group, Robertinho do Acordeon & Seu Regional, which accompanied the TV program "Viola, Minha Viola" for 25 years. Robertinho collaborated with prominent names in Brazilian folk music, such as Tião Carreiro & Pardinho and Inezita Barroso. He released many albums, showcasing his versatility in music. Robertinho do Acordeon passed away on January 3, 2006, due to lung cancer in São Paulo.
