The Silence Broken is an alternative rock metal band from Rochester, New York, formed in May 2006. The band's name is inspired by the video game Silent Hill 2. Initially, they played their first show in 2007 and began working on their debut album with producer Steve Veremeychik. Over the years, the band has undergone lineup changes, with Nik Humphreys joining as vocalist in 2009. Their debut full-length album, "In Search of Hope," was released in 2011, featuring singles like "My Widow" and "Poor Carmine..." The band continued to support national acts and eventually worked on their sophomore album, "The Pendulum Effect," which was due for release in late 2016.
