Christian Chamorel

Christian Chamorel is a renowned Swiss pianist born in Lausanne in 1979. He is celebrated for his diverse repertoire and meticulous artistic approach, having performed at numerous prestigious festivals and venues worldwide, including the Beethoven Festival in Chicago, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and the Tonhalle in Zurich. Chamorel's educational background includes training at the Lausanne Conservatory, Munich Hochschule für Musik und Theater, and the Zurich Musikhochschule. He is well-versed in both solo virtuoso repertoire and chamber music, making him a sought-after partner for many international artists. His critically acclaimed recordings include works by Liszt, Mendelssohn, and more recently, Mozart.

Chamorel is also recognized for founding the Mont Musical festival, dedicated to Lied and chamber music in Le-Mont-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland. He has won several international competitions, such as the Gian Battista Viotti and Geneva's Société des Arts, and has been recognized with awards from the Yamaha, Leenaards, and Kiefer Hablitzel foundations. He is noted for his collaboration with artists like violinist Rachel Kolly d'Alba and mezzo-soprano Marie-Claude Chappuis. Currently, Chamorel teaches at the Conservatoire de musique de Genève and continues to perform with esteemed orchestras across Europe.
