Sorotan Bele

**Sorotan Bele** was a Basque folk group from Fuenterrabía (Hondarribia), in the Basque Country, known for blending traditional folk with pop influences. Formed in 1991 by three high school friends, the band quickly gained recognition after winning a contest with their demo and released their self-titled debut album in 1992, which sold around 25,000 copies. They followed this success with the album *Mundu Hegian* in 1994. Over time, their sound evolved beyond Celtic folk toward a more complex style until they disbanded after their third album. Their last concert was held in Irún in 1996. Though the group ended in the ’90s, their music remains influential in the Basque folk scene.
