Carson Cooman is an American composer and organist known for his prolific output and dedication to contemporary classical music. Born in 1982, Cooman has composed hundreds of works in a wide range of forms, from solo instrumental pieces to large-scale choral and orchestral compositions. As an organist, he is particularly active in performing and recording new music, often showcasing works by living composers from around the world.
In addition to his performance and compositional work, Cooman is also a writer and advocate for new music. He currently serves as Composer in Residence at the Memorial Church at Harvard University.
