Victorio Vergara

Victorio Vergara was a Panamanian musician and composer known for his contributions to the development of the cumbia genre. Born in 1904, Vergara began his musical career as a guitarist and vocalist, eventually forming his own band, "Los Diablos Rojos." He is credited with popularizing the cumbia rhythm and incorporating elements of jazz and other genres into his music. Vergara's compositions, such as "El Mandamas" and "Te Haré Feliz," became classics of the genre and continue to be enjoyed by fans worldwide.
