Rabies Caste

Rabies Caste was an Israeli band formed in 1995, known for their sludge metal sound. The band members included Dave K on vocals and guitar, Russell Bear on bass, and Dale Rabid on drums. They were active until 2003 and released several albums, including "For the Vomiting Tractor Drivers" in 1999 and "Let The Soul Out And Cut The Vein" in 2001. After disbanding, some of their unreleased tracks were later featured on a self-titled 7-track CD released in 2006, which included both studio and live recordings.

Dale Rabid, the drummer, went on to join the band Tangorodrim, a garage black metal outfit, after Rabies Caste disbanded. Despite their split, Rabies Caste remains a significant part of the sludge metal scene, especially in Israel. Their music was characterized by intense and powerful sound, blending elements of sludge with core influences.
