Hosam Omran

Hosam Omran is a multifaceted artist born in 1991 in Amman, Jordan, to Jordanian parents of Palestinian descent and raised in Yemen. They explore a wide range of creative fields, including music, visual art, and animated film. Musically, Hosam Omran has produced several albums, notable among them are 'Ashr Sneen' (2017) and 'Haiara' (2019). Their music is often described as experimental and reflects their diverse background and experiences. Omran's artistic practice also includes abstract painting, comic storytelling, collage, and 2D frame-by-frame animated short films.

In addition to their musical pursuits, Omran has been involved in various projects, including founding the Yemeni Film Days festival in collaboration with the Royal Film Commission. Their short films have been screened at several international film festivals, showcasing their creative range beyond music.
