Time Sawyer

Time Sawyer is a folk-rock band from North Carolina, formed in 2010. The band's moniker reflects a blend of heritage and modernity, drawing inspiration from the classic American character Tom Sawyer while incorporating the element of time into their music. Their sound is a country crossroads encounter of bluegrass, rock, and sharp observational lyrics. The band has performed at prominent festivals like Merlefest, Floydfest, and Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, and they have shared stages with notable artists such as American Aquarium and John Craigie. The current lineup includes Sam Tayloe on guitar and vocals, Houston Norris on banjo, Luke Mears on lead guitar, Court Wynter on bass, and Jordan Nelson on drums. Sam Tayloe and Houston Norris are the original remaining members, who have since assembled a cohesive group of talented musicians. Their music often explores themes of unity and social reflection, aiming to connect listeners through shared experiences.
