Stonefunkers was a Swedish funk-hip-hop band formed in 1984. They gained popularity in the 1990s for their energetic and heavy funk sound, touring extensively across Europe and releasing five full-length albums. Notable releases include hits like "M-Rock Theory," "Funkadeena," and the album "No PROBLEM ’94." The band featured notable members such as Papa Dee and ADL at different points in their career. Over the years, Stonefunkers became known as one of Sweden's most dynamic live acts, with a significant impact on the country's funk and dance scene.
The band's activity culminated with their final recording in 1999, titled "Ovan där," which served as the theme song for a TV series. This marked the end of the band's active career, as they split in 2001. Emrik, the lead singer and founder, later pursued solo projects, reflecting on his roots in funk and hip-hop while exploring new musical avenues.
