Cotatcha Orchestra is a Czech big band that fuses traditional big band sounds with electronic music. The band was founded in 2008 by composer and arranger Jan Hasenöhrl, and has since released several albums and toured extensively throughout Europe. Cotatcha Orchestra's music is characterized by its energetic and danceable rhythms, as well as its use of unusual instrumentation, such as the theremin and the ondes Martenot. The band has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kronos Quartet.
