Coliseum was an American punk rock band hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, formed in 2003 by vocalist and guitarist Ryan Patterson. Alongside Patterson, the band's lineup evolved over time, often including bassist Kayhan Vaziri and drummer Carter Wilson among various other members who contributed to the band's relentless and dynamic sound. Coliseum's distinct musical approach melded elements of punk, hardcore, and heavy rock, earning them a reputation for blistering live performances and an intense, unyielding style that resonated with a diverse fan base.

Over the course of their career, Coliseum released several critically acclaimed albums and EPs that contributed to their legacy within the punk and hardcore scene. "Anxiety's Kiss," released in 2015, was their last full-length album and showcased their evolution with a mixture of melody and dissonance, further refining their aggressive sonic identity. The self-titled "Coliseum (Deluxe Reissue)" reimagined their 2004 debut with additional tracks, offering fans a comprehensive look at the band's origins. Other significant releases like "Sister Faith" and "House With A Curse" solidified their reputation for crafting dense, emotionally charged anthems, while the raw intensity of early work such as "Goddamage" and "No Salvation" captured the ferocity of their initial sound.
