Alessandro Andriani

Alessandro Andriani, born in 1975 in Acqui Terme, Italy, is a renowned cellist known for his mastery in classical and early music. He began studying the cello at a very young age and has distinguished himself as the principal cellist of the Europa Galante ensemble, led by Fabio Biondi. Andriani has also been associated with other prestigious groups such as the Accademia Bizantina and I Barocchisti, performing at leading festivals worldwide.

Andriani has a strong educational background, having studied with notable figures like Ivan Monighetti and Paolo Beschi. His discography includes recordings for labels such as Bayer Records, Camerata Tokio, Decca, Urania Records, Brilliant Classics, and Dynamic. Notable releases include Beethoven's Cello Sonatas on period instruments and Duport's Etudes for Cello Solo. In addition to his performing career, Andriani is also a dedicated teacher at the Conservatorio di Modena.
