Gary Corben

Gary Corben is a musician known for his eclectic style, which blends elements of Brazilian music with other influences. He is the founder of the cult reissue label Whatmusic and was an early pioneer of online music in the mid-1990s. Corben has been secretly writing songs for nearly three decades, and his work gained attention when legendary Brazilian producer Kassin encouraged him to record an album. This collaboration led to the creation of "Gods In Brasil," an album that captures the classic sounds of 1960s and 1970s Brazilian records. The album was recorded in Poland with members of the Polish supergroup Mitch & Mitch and finished in Kassin's studio in Rio. Corben's music often reflects his diverse influences, including the iconic Brazilian musician João Donato.
