Superfly

**Superfly** is the dynamic musical project led by Japanese singer-songwriter Shiho Ochi, who burst onto the scene in 2007 with a soulful blend of rock, blues, and retro pop. Originally formed as a duo with guitarist/songwriter Koichi Tabo, Superfly became known for Ochi’s powerhouse vocals and their throwback-inspired sound, scoring early hits like “Ai o Kurae” and “Dancing on the Fire.” After Tabo’s departure in 2013, Ochi continued under the Superfly moniker, evolving her style to incorporate funk, disco, and even Latin influences—a shift evident in recent tracks like the fiery “Combustível” and the groove-driven “O Vôo Da Mosca.”

With a career spanning chart-topping albums, anime themes (including *Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’*), and collaborations with international artists, Superfly remains a staple of Japan’s rock scene. Ochi’s fearless experimentation and raspy, emotive voice keep fans hooked, whether she’s belting anthems or diving into samba-infused rhythms. Her latest releases prove she’s still got that *superfly* energy.
