Dario G

Dario G is an English dance and electronic music group formed in Crewe, Cheshire, in 1996. The group was originally a trio consisting of Paul Spencer, Scott Rosser, and Stephen Spencer (the stage name of group founder's Paul Spencer's brother, not to be confused with the British videographer of the same name), but Rosser left after the release of the first album, and since then, Paul Spencer has been the face of the project. The act is named after the manager of Crewe Alexandra at that time, Dario Gradi.

Dario G gained prominence in the late 1990s with their hit single "Sunchyme," which encapsulated the feel-good vibes of the era's dance music. Their debut album, "Sunmachine," released in 1998, included successful tracks like "Carnaval de Paris," created for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Over the years, Dario G's sound has continually evolved while maintaining its dance floor appeal. The act's robust discography showcases a blending of electronic with world music influences. More than two decades into their career, Dario G celebrated the 25th anniversary of their iconic "Sunmachine" with a special edition released, indicating the lasting impact of their sonic contributions. Their more recent releases, including the remastered "Voices (Sash! X-Tended Mix) [2023 Remaster]" and "Savour the Miracle of Life (For Macmillan)," show their dedication to crafting feel-good music with a philanthropic edge, as the latter supports the Macmillan Cancer Support charity. This underscores Dario G's enduring commitment to both musical innovation and social causes.
