**Puteraeon** is a Swedish death metal band that’s been dishing out Lovecraftian horror and old-school riffage since forming in 2007. Founded by multi-instrumentalist Jonas Lindblood (guitars/vocals), this quartet blends classic Swedish death metal with eerie, cosmic-themed storytelling, drawing heavy inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft’s eldritch nightmares. With albums like *The Esoteric Order* (2011) and *The Cthulhian Pulse* (2022), they’ve carved a niche as purveyors of atmospheric, melody-driven brutality, often name-dropping Cthulhu and other mythos baddies in tracks like *Nameless Rites* and *Storms Over Devil’s Reef*.
