Mexicano 777, born Israel Perales Ortiz on September 1, 1972, was a pioneering Puerto Rican rapper and one of the early figures in Latin hip-hop and reggaeton. He began his career in the early 1990s, working with influential DJs like Playero and Adam. His breakthrough came with the release of his debut album "Entre El Bien y El Mal" in 1998, which included popular tracks like "Bendición Mami" and "Hagan Ruido Las Pistolas."
Throughout his career, Mexicano 777 released several albums, including the well-received "God's Assassins" in 2001 and "Pa' La Kalle 1972-The Beginning" in 2005. Known for his distinctive style and lyrical prowess, he collaborated with various artists in the Latin music scene. Sadly, Mexicano 777 passed away on July 23, 2015, at the age of 42, after battling cancer.
