Krypton

Krypton is a Romanian rock band that originally formed in Bucharest in 1982, founded by guitarist Eugen Mihăescu. The band started out with a new wave and heavy metal sound but evolved over the years into a more pop rock-oriented style. After some lineup changes and breaks in activity during the 1990s, Mihăescu revived the group in 2000 with a fresh lineup, leading to a period of commercial success in Romania marked by hit singles and several albums. In 2012, the band reunited some of its classic members to perform their older hard rock material. As of 2022, Krypton continues to tour in Romania with a lineup including Mihăescu and other seasoned musicians, playing songs from their extensive catalog that spans decades of Romanian rock history.
