Katherine has also premiered new works written for her and collaborated closely with notable composers such as Arvo Pärt and Anthony Payne. Besides performing, she has taught at leading institutions including the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity Laban. Her musical journey started early in Derby, where she began cello lessons at age five, and she currently plays on an Italian cello by Taningardi from 1703, made possible with support from the Countess of Munster.
