edIT

edIT, born Edward Ma, is a Los Angeles-based electronic music producer and a founding member of the experimental trio The Glitch Mob. Emerging in the early 2000s as a pioneer of glitch-hop and IDM, he carved out a niche with his intricate, sample-heavy beats and genre-blurring soundscapes. His 2004 debut album, *Crying over Pros for No Reason*, became a cult classic, blending chopped-up hip-hop rhythms with glitchy textures—a vibe he revisited in the 2023 *Deluxe Edition* re-release. Over the years, edIT’s work has stretched from solo projects to collaborations with artists like Busdriver and Dag Savage, while his output with The Glitch Mob cemented his reputation for crafting cinematic, bass-driven anthems. Recent releases like *The Nocturnal Color* and *Shai’s Song* showcase his knack for merging nostalgic warmth with futuristic beats, proving he’s still a master of keeping dancefloors and headphones equally hypnotized.
