Black Magick SS

Black Magick SS is a psychedelic rock band from Tasmania, Australia, formed in 2012. They are recognized as pioneers of the "magick metal" subgenre, blending heavy psych and occult rock influences. Despite their controversial use of National Socialist imagery, the band clarifies that "SS" stands for "Star Ship," not the Nazi Schutzstaffel. Their music, carrying occult themes inspired by Aleister Crowley’s concept of "magick," has influenced a number of other heavy psych and doom metal bands. Notable releases include "The Black Abyss," "Kaleidoscope Dreams," "Spectral Ecstasy," "Rainbow Nights," and "Burning Bridges." Their sound is a mix of psychedelic, occult rock, and elements of black metal with vintage 70s hard rock vibes, sometimes featuring gothic and electronic touches.
