DJ Luna-C, real name Christopher Howell, is a British DJ and record producer born on May 1, 1973. He is well known for his contributions to the hardcore music scene. In 1992, Luna-C was part of the rave group Smart E's, which gained fame with a remix of the Sesame Street theme song ("Sesame's Treet"). That same year, he founded Kniteforce Records, a label that has maintained a cult following through its releases in breakbeat hardcore and other styles. After selling the label in 1997, Luna-C revived it as Kniteforce Again (KFA) in 2001, continuing to produce music and DJ worldwide. His sets often blend breakbeat hardcore, freeform, happy hardcore, old skool hardcore, and drum and bass, using custom-made dubplates and DJ tools for a unique sound.
Luna-C's releases, including tracks like "Piano Progression," "Take Me Away," and "Six Days," have become classics in the genre. His label and music style have earned him respect globally, with a strong presence in the UK and international credits in countries such as the United States, Australia, and Japan. His innovative approach to music events, like Knite Club, also reflects his passion for pushing boundaries in the music scene. Recent projects, such as various remastered releases on Kniteforce and Remix Records, continue to expand his musical legacy.
