İsmail Coşar

İsmail Coşar is a Turkish imam and a pivotal figure in Islamic recitation, particularly known for his heartfelt and powerful renditions of the Quran and religious hymns. Born in the Anatolian city of Yozgat, Turkey, Coşar pursued a deep, spiritual education in Islamic sciences and the art of recitation, also known as "Tajweed." His profound understanding of the melodic and technical aspects of Quranic recitation has made him one of the most respected "hafiz," a title given to someone who has memorized the Quran in its entirety, and "müezzin," a person skilled in the call to prayer.

Throughout his prestigious career, İsmail Coşar has infused his recitations with a sense of reverence and devotion, leading to widespread recognition across the Muslim world. His recordings, including the soul-stirring "Aşr-ı Şerifler" series, "Mevlid-i Şerif," and "Kasıdeler," are used in mosques and during Islamic ceremonies as exemplary models of the traditional Turkish recitation style. As an ambassador of cultural and religious art, he has also contributed significantly to the commemoration of important historical and religious events with works such as "Kasıdeler Ve ilahiler / Çanakkale Şehitlerine," paying homage to the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Çanakkale. Through his vocal artistry, İsmail Coşar continues to influence future generations of reciters and preserve the timeless legacy of Islamic devotion and prayer.
