The Blowtops

The Blowtops are a garage rock band formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1995. The core members include Aaron Adduci on guitar, Dave Brand on vocals and guitar, and Andy Beiter, who initially played bass and later switched to drums. The band emerged from the vibrant garage rock scene in Buffalo, which centered around The Sanctuary, a club tied to Big Neck Records. Their early work includes the 7-inch EP "Voodoo Alley," named after their practice space and recording studio. Over the years, The Blowtops have released several notable albums and singles, including "Blood & Tar," "Insected Mind," and "Zero Dance Singles: 1998-2009." Their sound evolved with the addition of members like Traci Voelker on keyboards, introducing a Yamaha organ-based style. The band has toured Europe twice and maintained a strong presence in the underground music scene.

Their discography showcases a dynamic range, from raw garage rock to more eclectic styles, often produced by notable figures like Mr. Ski-Mask and Wharton Tiers. With their unique blend of energy and experimentation, The Blowtops have established a loyal following both locally and internationally. Their releases are available on platforms like Bandcamp, where fans can access their extensive catalog of music.
