Long Shot Party

Long Shot Party was a Japanese six-piece ska band formed in Sendai in 1998. Originally starting with a basic lineup of vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, they eventually expanded to include brass instruments, which became a core part of their sound. The band made their debut in 2000 with the independent mini-album *Making Ourself Understood in Our Sounds*. Over the years, they released several notable albums and singles, including *Delta Force*, *sonic*, and *distance*, which was featured as the second opening theme for the anime series *Naruto Shippuden*. Another notable single is *Ano Hi Time Machine*, which served as the opening theme for *Zoku Natsume Yūjinchō*. The band's members included sasaji on vocals, Shuichi on guitar, Saitaro on bass, PxOxN on drums, Ken Iikawa on trumpet, and KJ on saxophone. Unfortunately, Long Shot Party disbanded in 2010.

Their discography showcases a blend of ska and rock styles, contributing to their unique sound and their popularity within the Japanese music scene. Releases like *Gardens 13h*, *Pointirhythm*, and *Razzoodock* also highlight their creative output during their active years. Despite disbanding, Long Shot Party's music remains a memorable part of Japan's ska and rock heritage.
