Minnesota Orchestra

The Minnesota Orchestra is one of America's leading symphony orchestras, celebrated for both its artistic excellence and innovative programming. Based in Minneapolis, the ensemble performs at Orchestra Hall and has a long history dating back to its founding in 1903 as the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. It adopted its current name in 1968 and has since built a reputation for adventurous repertoire, international touring, and high-quality recordings.

Known for its interpretations of the works of Mahler, Beethoven, Sibelius, and contemporary composers alike, the Minnesota Orchestra is led by a roster of distinguished conductors, including longtime music director Osmo Vänskä.
