After leaving Accept in 1987, Udo built a successful career with his band U.D.O., but fans kept craving those classic '80s anthems. Enter Dirkschneider – a no-nonsense celebration of his Accept legacy. Since 2016, this project has been tearing up stages worldwide, delivering raw, faithful live renditions of era-defining tracks like "Balls to the Wall" and "Fast as a Shark." Their recent releases – including *Live - Back to the Roots* and *Back to the Roots - Accepted! (Live in Brno)* – capture that nostalgic energy, featuring collaborations with artists like Sabaton's Joakim Brodén. While not creating new music, Dirkschneider serves as a victory lap for Udo's Accept years, proving these headbanging hymns still crush audiences decades later.
