The Marmars

The Marmars are a pop-punk band hailing from Bandung, Indonesia, known for their energetic and somewhat playful style. Formed in 1999 by Maruli Hasiholan, who was previously part of bands like Sendal Jepit and The Bonots, The Marmars initially started as a solo project with Maruli creating the concept of four fictional quadruplet band members. Over time, the band has featured different line-ups for various gigs, with key members including Maru Marmar (lead vocals and guitar), Ruli Marmar (guitar and vocals), and Hasi Marmar (bass and vocals). They have a raw, fun vibe often described as "a stupid pop-punk band," reflecting their youthful and spirited approach to music.
