Noémie Bialobroda

Noémie Bialobroda is a highly regarded French violist born in Paris, known for her rich international career both as a soloist and chamber musician. Since 2014, she has been the violist of the acclaimed Aviv Quartet, which has gained praise for its compelling interpretations, including a well-received recording of Franz Schubert’s late string quartets. Noémie performs at prestigious venues worldwide, such as Wigmore Hall in London and the Philharmonie de Paris, and is deeply involved in contemporary music, premiering works dedicated to her and collaborating regularly with ensembles like Ensemble Modern and IRCAM.

In addition to her performance career, Noémie is a dedicated educator, holding professorships at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon, the Conservatoire de Genève, and the Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM), where she is also coordinator of chamber music. She co-founded and directs the Geneva International String Academy, reflecting her commitment to nurturing young talent. She studied under renowned teachers including Nobuko Imai and Jean Sulem and plays a viola by Carlo Giuseppe Testore. Her blend of artistic excellence, educational leadership, and passion for new music marks her as a prominent figure in the classical music world today.
