He formed the band "Paul Matavire and the Sounds of the Motherland" in the 1980s, and they became one of the most popular mbira groups in Zimbabwe. He has released numerous albums throughout his career, including "Ukungafiki," "Dziye," "Asipo Haapo," and "Hot Hits."
