Gontiti

Gontiti is a Japanese acoustic guitar duo formed by Gontiti Kawamura and Titi Matsumura. Since their debut in the late 1970s, the pair have been known for their distinctive blend of bossa nova, jazz, classical, and pop elements, delivered through intricate, melodic guitar work. Their music is often light, whimsical, and soothing—earning them a loyal following and making their sound a favorite for film soundtracks, TV commercials, and ambient listening.

Over the decades, Gontiti have released a wide range of albums and compositions, including soundtracks for anime series like “Amanchu!” and contributions to films such as “Ore wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake.” Celebrating over 40 years together, their work continues to evolve while retaining the warm, minimalistic style that defines their musical identity.
