Yashin

Yashin was a post-hardcore band hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, known for their vibrant energy, dual-vocal approach, and engaging live performances. The band emerged in the early 2000s and went on to carve out a dedicated fanbase within the alternative rock scene. Named after the legendary Russian goalkeeper Lev Yashin, the group frequently flirted with a sporty vigor and a sense of comradery, which translated into their music and onstage persona.

Throughout their career, Yashin released several albums and EPs which showcased their ability to blend melodic choruses with heavy guitar riffs and emotionally charged lyrics. Albums such as "We Created a Monster" and "The Renegades" are emblematic of their sound, offering anthemic tracks that are both aggressive and accessible. Despite being well-received in the UK's rock and metal circuits, and performing at major festivals and touring extensively, the band announced their split in 2016, leaving behind a legacy of energy-driven music and a loyal following that continues to celebrate their contributions to the genre. The aforementioned singles such as "Vultures," "Dorothy Gale," and "Runaway Train" stand as a testament to their dynamic sound and passionate delivery.
