Pekinska patka

Pekinska Patka was a pioneering punk rock band from Novi Sad, Serbia (then part of Yugoslavia), known as one of the first punk bands in the region. Formed in 1978, the group quickly gained recognition for their raw, energetic sound and rebellious lyrics, helping to shape the Yugoslav punk scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their debut album, "Plitka poezija" (1980), is considered a landmark release in the history of ex-Yugoslav rock music, blending punk attitude with a dose of sarcastic social commentary.

The band went through several lineup changes and a brief stylistic shift towards post-punk and new wave before disbanding in the early '80s. Despite their relatively short initial run, Pekinska Patka left a lasting legacy and remain influential in the Balkan punk and alternative rock scenes. Their music continues to resonate with fans of classic punk and collectors of Yugoslav rock history.
