Opiate is a post-hardcore band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2008, the band has released a number of EPs and split releases, including "Opto 2nd," "Sometimes Ep," and "While You Were Sleeping." Their music is characterized by its heavy, distorted guitars, driving rhythms, and introspective lyrics. Opiate has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Touché Amoré.
