Object Collection
**Object Collection** is a New York-based experimental music-theater duo formed by composer/instrumentalist Travis Just and writer/director Kara Feely. Since their 2004 inception, they’ve fused avant-garde noise, surrealist theater, and visceral improvisation into disorienting, politically charged performances. Known for deconstructing language and amplifying societal anxieties through chaotic electronics, distorted vocals, and destabilizing staging, their work—like *Catastrophe 1* and *Prisons For Profit*—often blurs rebellion and formalism. Their releases, including the provocatively titled *Ice Cream Eating Motherfucker* and *Fuck School*, mirror their live shows’ confrontational energy, embracing discomfort as both aesthetic and critique. They’ve toured DIY spaces and institutions globally, refusing to distinguish between “high” art and punk irreverence.
