Trio San Javier is one of the most iconic groups in Argentine folklore. Formed in 1975, the group initially consisted of Pedro Favini, José "Pepe" Ragone, and Paz Martínez, who was later replaced by Carlos Bazán. Pedro Favini, a native of Tucumán, was not only a vocalist and bombo player but also the musical director of the group. Over the years, Trio San Javier gained widespread recognition, participating in major festivals like Cosquín, Villa María, and Jesús María. They are known for hits like "Será varón, será mujer," "Quedate chiquilín," and "Quince primaveras." The group's international performances include notable venues like the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and cities across the Americas.
After Pedro Favini's passing in 2012, the legacy of Trio San Javier continued, with Carlos Bazán leading the group alongside his son Nahuel and Franco Favini, Pedro's son. In recent years, the group has released albums such as "Presente y Futuro" and "El Show de Brizuela Méndez, Vol. 3: Bienvenido Sabado," showcasing their enduring influence in Argentine music. Additionally, a new generation of musicians, including those from Destino San Javier, has emerged to carry on the group's musical heritage.
