**Shadowlands** is the moody electronic brainchild of composer Paul Haslinger, best known for his work with Tangerine Dream and scoring films like *Underworld* and *The Texas Chainsaw Massacre*. Launched in 2020, the project weaves icy synthwave, pulsing darkwave, and cinematic atmosphere into a neon-lit sonic universe. Their numerically titled EPs (*001*, *002*, *003*) and 2021’s *Perfect Void* album feel like late-night drives through a retro-futuristic cityscape, blending analog warmth with brooding textures. Haslinger keeps the project mysterious—no flashy personas, just shadows and basslines—letting the music’s dystopian romance speak for itself.
