Marc Perrenoud is a highly acclaimed jazz pianist born in 1981 in Berlin. He began playing the piano at the age of six and went on to study at the Conservatoire de Genève and later at the Ecole de Jazz in Lausanne, graduating in 2004. Perrenoud has won several prestigious awards, including the Montreux Jazz Chrysler Award in 2003 and the ZKB Jazz Prize in 2010 with his trio. He has performed extensively across the globe, participating in numerous festivals such as Montreux Jazz and the Allen Room at Lincoln Center in New York. His musical career is marked by collaborations with notable musicians like Grégoire Maret and Kendrick Scott. Perrenoud is also the co-founder and artistic director of the Les Athénéennes festival in Geneva.
Perrenoud's discography includes albums like *Logo*, *Two Lost Churches*, and *Vestry Lamento*, which have been well-received by critics and audiences alike. His trio, composed of Marco Müller on bass and Cyril Regamey on drums, has been praised for its unique blend of traditional and contemporary jazz sounds. In addition to his work with the trio, Perrenoud has also been involved in other projects, such as the group Aksham, and teaches at the Haute école de musique in Geneva.
