Nick Capaldi

Nick Capaldi is a Dorset-born UK singer-songwriter who's been charming fans with his bouncy rock-pop vibes since his teens. Hooked on music after hearing Blur's *Parklife* at 14, he picked up the guitar, started writing tunes, and by 16 was gigging in Weymouth pubs. In the 2000s, he fronted the band EmphaSiS (sometimes stylized Emphasis), which won Wessex FM's Battle of the Bands and Weymouth Pavilion's Best Local Band award, playing loads of shows locally and in London before splitting in 2010.

After a short break, Nick teamed up with pals like Steve Balsamo for his 2011 EP *The Golden Summer*, which got spins on BBC Radio 2 from Whispering Bob Harris (who wrote the sleeve notes and had him in for a live session). His debut single *In My Shoes* from the *Lover’s Leap* EP shot to No.1 on Amazon's Hot New Releases and stayed Top 20 for weeks, plus landed on MOJO's *Songs In The Key of Paul McCartney*. He's since gone solo strong, self-producing albums like *Neon Heart* (2017), *Tatty Hally and the Lost Magic* (2020 on vinyl), and *You and all the Seasons* (2023), with Abbey Road sessions for *More Life Than You Can Shake A Stick At* (2021). Teaming with legends like Albert Lee and Robbie McIntosh, he's a festival fave gigging across the UK and beyond.
