Sinfonietta Riga

Sinfonietta Riga is a Latvian chamber orchestra founded in 1999. The orchestra is known for its diverse repertoire, which spans from Baroque to contemporary music. Sinfonietta Riga has performed with renowned soloists such as Gidon Kremer, Mischa Maisky, and Martha Argerich. The orchestra has also toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Under the artistic direction of conductor Normunds Šnē, Sinfonietta Riga has released several critically acclaimed recordings. The orchestra's recording of Pēteris Vasks' Viola Concerto and Symphony No. 1 "Voices" received the Latvian Grand Music Award in 2019. Sinfonietta Riga continues to be one of the most respected chamber orchestras in Latvia and beyond.
