WagakkiBand is a unique and dynamic Japanese musical group that seamlessly blends traditional Japanese instruments with modern rock music. Their sound is characterized by the fusion of the wagakki (traditional Japanese musical instruments like the shamisen, koto, shakuhachi, and taiko drums) with contemporary rock guitar, bass, and drums, creating an innovative and captivating genre that has taken the Japanese music scene by storm.

Formed in 2013, WagakkiBand rocketed to fame with their hit cover of the Vocaloid song "Senbonzakura," which showcased their ability to reinterpret modern J-pop with classical Japanese flair. The band consists of eight talented musicians: lead vocalist Yuko Suzuhana, bassist Asa, guitarist Machiya, drummer Wasabi, shigin singer Daisuke Kaminaga, tsugaru shamisen player Beni Ninagawa, koto player Kiyoshi Ibukuro, and wadaiko drummer Kurona.
