The Nighthawks

The Nighthawks are a storied band with a rich history in the American blues and roots rock scene, having been established in 1972 in Washington D.C. Formed by lead vocalist and harmonica player Mark Wenner, along with passionate musicians with a shared love for blues, rhythm and blues, rockabilly, and soul music, The Nighthawks have built a reputation for their tireless work ethic, often playing several hundred shows a year. Over the decades, the lineup has seen changes, but the heart and soul of their music remain steadfast.

The band's extensive discography showcases their versatility and evolution, with albums that capture their dynamic live energy and studio refinement. Among their recent releases are "Last Train to Bluesville," a bare-bones acoustic set that earned them a Blues Music Award, and "444," a celebration of their hard-edged blues-rock style. The Nighthawks continue to tour and produce new music, like "Back Porch Party," which reflects their ability to create a relaxed and intimate atmosphere that hearkens back to the roots of American music. "American Landscape" and "Established 1972" serve as testaments to the band's enduring impact on the blues genre, offering both new material and a nostalgic look back at their storied career.
